Gunmen have reportedly attacked the palace of a traditional ruler in Magamin Kano community in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Bashir Abubakar, abducting his wife and son.
The armed men, who stormed the community on Monday, were said to have earlier killed an unidentified resident and wounded another during the attack.
An eye witness account revealed that the traditional ruler was the gunmen’s target but was lucky to escape while.his wife and son were seized and led away into an unknown destination.
Meanwhile, members of the community told journalists that in the last one month, gunmen, who invaded a number of villages in Ningi Council Area had killed two people and kidnapped many others.
They also said the kidnappers had collected about N50 million ransom from families of the kidnapped victims before their release.
