An ace Nigerian musician, Olanrewaju Fasasi a.ka. Sound Sultan, is dead.
He died at the age of 44, after he was diagnosed and treated for Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.
The singer’s family on Sunday announced his death in statement.
Announcing the multi-talented singer’s death, his brother, Kayode Fasasi said: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our multitalented veteran singer, rapper, songwriter Olanrewaju Fasasi aka Sound Sultan.”
The musician, who came into limelight in 2000 with the hit single ‘Mathematics,’ is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings.
