Ace musician, Victor Uwaifo, dies at 80

An ace musician, Sir Victor Uwaifo, is dead.
The musicologist and music lecturer died on Saturday at the age of 80 after a brief illness, according to a family source.
Renowned as an outstanding guitarist, he was named the ‘Guitar boy.’
Legendary Uwaifo, who reportedly celebrated his 80th birthday with fanfare last March with family, friends and associates, received an award of the National Merit Honours of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
He was also former Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in Edo State.
