Seven persons on Thursday were reportedly roasted alive in a ghastly motor accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, Florence Okpe, in a statement said that eighteen other persons were critically injured in the crash.
According to her, the accident happened near Sapade Bridge in the Remo-North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The statement read: “A total of seven persons were burnt beyond recognition. Two vehicles, a Toyota Sienna with number plate BWR 762 PV and a Mazda bus with number plate BDN 18 LG were involved.
“The suspected causes of the fatal crash were speed and route violation on the part of the Sienna bus which followed one-way and collided with the Mazda bus and unfortunately there was a fire outbreak.
“The injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere for medical attention and some to Idera Hospital, Sagamu. The corpses have been deposited at a private morgue in Ipara.
