For not promptly paying their N1 million feeding fee, suspected terrorists have reportedly killed five residents of the Odiereke Ubie community in Ahaoda West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The terrorists, who attacked the community on Tuesday around 5.00pm allegedly ran into the victims while returning from their farms.
The gunmen, out of anger, were said to have shot the victims dead.
Following the incident, many residents have reportedly deserted the community.
A resident on condition of anonymity disclosed that an armed gang came into the community on several motorcycles.
According to him, the terrorists armed with AK-47 rifles.
He said the families of the deceased have carried away the bodies for burial.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police Command has not written an official statement on the incident.
