Bandits have threatened to marry off Ameera, kidnapped daughter of Kaduna Polytechnic lecturer, Dr. Rahmatu Abarshi, if her family fails to pay the ransom they demand.
The bandits, who kidnapped Ameera, her father and their driver along Kachia-Kaduna road on Friday, April 22 as they were returning from a charity mission, are demanding N30 million ransom and four brand new motorcycles.
The bandits released Dr. Abarshi, who was former Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Kaduna Polytechnic, on Tuesday evening May 17 but refused to free her daughter and the driver.
“Her father was released on the 18th of May but the kidnappers have asked Ameera to stay behind. They took her to where their wives are and gave them some time to pay the ransom or they would marry her off.
“As of 20th May, they are requesting for N30m and four brand new motorcycles as soon as possible.” Aziza Dangote Waziri said.
