An armed gang has reportedly abducted five members of an Islamic group, Dawah Tabligh Jammah, on Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
The victims seized on early Sunday morning while returning home from a Dawah programme in Kano State.
The five victims are from Oyo State, according to a member of the group, Mallam Ibrahem Al-Amin.
He said: “Between Kaduna and Abuja expressway on Sunday, five of our members were kidnapped. They were coming from the Dawah programme in Kano, which started on Thursday and ended on Sunday. They are members of Dawah Tabligh Jammah, all five of them are from Oyo State.”
The police authorities in Kaduna State are yet to speak on the incident.
