A bus driver rammed into another vehicle and died while trying to beat a traffic light in Lagos
The accident reportedly happened at the weekend near Marwa Bus Stop when the driver of the bus plying Lekki-Ajah route in Lagos run into a black Toyota Highlander.
Lagos State Commander for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Olusegun Ogungbemigbe, who confirmed the accident, said passengers in the bus sustained injuries but were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
The FRSC boss explained that the bus somersaulted after hitting the Toyota Highlander SUV, saying: “Unfortunately, the bus driver died, while several passengers were injured and taken to a hospital.
“The victims were already rescued by the Lekki Concession Company before the arrival of men of the FRSC.”
