Gunmen have shot dead two immigration officers, Adike Austin and Uzo James, attached to Ussa checkpoint in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The deceased, who are inspectors of immigration, were reportedly returning to their duty post on a motorcycle when they were ambushed and attacked by the armed men.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer for the Taraba State Police Command, Usman Abdullahi, said the officers’ lifeless bodies have been picked from the roadside and deposited at the hospital mortuary.
