The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, on Wednesday escaped death as a wall of his office reportedly collapsed on him and some guests.
The CJ was said be in the office around 12.30pm and was attending to some guests and litigants when the walls suddenly came down.
Adeyeye sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital to receive medical treatment, according to a court clerk, who would not want to be named.
He said the CJ is currently in a stable condition and responding to treatment.
The clerk said the wall might have falled due to a structural defect and the recent heavy downpour.
