Detectives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested a notorious cult leader in Ede, Rashidi Hammed aka Oko’lu.
Oko’lu was finally arrested on Sunday morning from his hideout in Osogbo, the state capital, which is about twenty kilometers from Ede after several months that the police had declared him wanted.
The detectives from the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Osun State Police Command were said to have been caught him unaware and picked up around 4.00am.
Oko’lu had been on the wanted list of the police, after allegedly killing a Higher National Diploma graduate of Banking and Finance of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, who was awaiting his call-up letter, and an unidentified commercial motorcyclist (Okada rider).
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the state Police Command, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola, has confirmed his arrest.
