An armed gang has shot dead a retired senior military officer, Air Vice-Marshal, Muhammad Maisaka and his 27-year old grandson, Musa, in Kaduna State.
It was learnt that the victims were killed in his house located at Ragasi in Igabi Local Government Area of the state.
Also confirming the incident to journalists, Maisaka’s wife, Fatima, said her husband and grandson were killed in their living room.
She said: “They only came into the sitting room and killed them both without taking any of our belongings. In fact, they left all our phones untouched.”
Also, the Kaduna State Police Command through its spokesman, Muhammad Jalinge, in a statement said the incident occurred on early Tuesday morning.
According to him, Maisaka’s gateman was shot and sustained injuries during the attack.
Jalinge said that immediately a distress call was the received by the state Commissioner of Police, Mudassiru Abdullah, he ordered the Divisional Police Officer and the Area Commander to move to the scene.
The statement read: “The corpses have been evacuated to the hospital and the gateman has also been rushed to the hospital for treatment.”
