The Niger State Police Command on Saturday said it has arrested two suspected killers of a 4-year old boy in Lapai Local Government Area of the state.
The command’s spokesman Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement, said the innocent boy was allegedly kidnapped and used for money ritual by the suspects.
The boy was reportedly kidnapped and declared missing few days to the arrest of the suspects.
According Abiodun, one of the suspects simply identified as Emmanuel, a building materials trader, and his unidentified gate man colluded to commit the crime.
He said: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the two suspects killed the child and removed his private parts, eyes, ears and heart. Emmanuel put the boy’s corpse in the sack and asked the gateman to dispose it.
“The gateman entered a motorcycle to a stream where he was to dispose of the corpse but on alighting from the bike, the motorcyclist noticed blood dripping from the sack.
“The commercial motorcyclist alerted the bystanders and police. The gateman confessed that he was sent by his master to dump the body. He and his master were immediately arrested by the police.”
