Police operatives in Delta State have arrested a 33-year old man, Volt Blessing Gabriel, for allegedly killing and using his his 1-year old son, Godspower, for money ritual.
A police source said The child’s mother, Success Oduwa (24), who suspected Volt after nothing seen the toddler was said to have reported to the police.
The source preferred anonymity since he was not authorized to speak on the matter.
He said: On 25/ 06/2022, at about 1030 hrs, mother of the deceased, Mrs. Success Oduwa ‘f’ age 24yrs of Peanuts junction, Obeh in Edo State, discovered that she has not seen their child since the morning of 24/6/2022 and started troubling the husband, Mr. Blessing Gabriel, about the whereabouts of the child.
“The husband told his wife that the child was with his sister in Warri. The mother of the toddler went to Warri, where she confirmed her suspicion that her husband lied to her.

“The Commander RRS detailed operatives, who swung into action to arrest the man and handed him over to the DPO ‘A’ Division Warri for further investigation.
“Upon interrogation, the man confessed to have murdered his child at Ewabogun bush by Catholic road, Benin City by using a handsaw to cut off the head and buried it by a palm tree in the bush and threw away the headless body of the child.
“The man also stated that he actually killed the child because of a dream he had. In the dream, he said he saw a man, who told him that, if he kills the child, and use the his blood to rub his head, he will become rich.”
