Terrorists on Tuesday night reportedly attacked Chisu village in Mangu Local Government of Plateau State, burning eleven residents to death.
It was gathered that the terrorists pursued the victims, who ran because of sporadic gunshots to a house in the village for safety, set the building on fire and burnt them to death.
A resident, Michael Bulus, who escaped the attack, said the incident took place around 11.00pm on Tuesday when the people were about going to bed.
He said: “The terrorists also burnt down the COCIN Regional Church Council Bwai along Mangu Bokkos road in the council area. They also set some houses, vehicles, and tricycles on fire during the attack.”
Meanwhile, the Plateau State Police Command’s spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, is yet to comment on the incident but security men were said to have been deployed to the community.
