A 48-year old herbalist, Isiaka Ogunkoya, has allegedly killed a pastor, Ezekiel Kalejaye, who was seeking spiritual power to expand his church in Osun State.
The suspect was said to have been arrested after human parts were found on him during a routine stop-and-search operation near Isoyin.
The suspect has confessed to killing the man, saying he wanted to use the human parts for rituals, according to a police source.
The suspect, who explained that the deceased pastor had sought a spiritual powers from him to attract a larger congregation to his church, said: “I saw a chance to utilize the pastor’s presence for the ritual I needed to perform at that time.
“So, I drugged his drink laced to make him sleep. While he (the pastor) was unconscious, I killed him and dismembered him. I extracted his heart and intestines for use in a concoction for rituals.”
