One person on Friday died and three others critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Ilorin, capital of Kwara State.
The victims, who are Muslim faithfuls, were reportedly riding on a motorcycle and returning from the Eid prayer ground when they suddenly rammed into a stationary truck around Balogun Fulani area.
The deceased simply identified as Suraju, who reportedly came from Alamo Compound, Okelele in Ilorin, was said to have Suraju was said to died at a medical facility where he was rushed to for treatment.
The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites at the Muslim cemetery, Osere area, Ilorin.
While one of the three injured persons is being attended to at a local bone centre around Dada area for treatment, the two other injured victims have reportedly been admitted at the General Hospital, Surulere, Ilorin.
Meanwhile, the Kwara State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Frederick Ogidan, could not confirm the incident to newsmen, saying: “I will find out and if there is anything like that, I will let you know.”
