A 39-year old man, Sunday Orishagbemi, has been stabbed to death as he was mediating in a fight between two men in Kogi State.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday at at Okada Park, Zango Daji Quarters in Adavi Local Government Area.
Fight was said to have started between the deceased’s friend, who is a vulcanizer and a resident in the quarters, cautioning him from urinating behind his house.
The deceased reportedly tried to mediate between them to prevent the argument leading to a fight when in the process, the son of the owner of the house was said to have brought out a knife to stab the vulcanizer but mistakingly killed Orishagbemi.
Confirming the incident to newsmen on Saturday in Lokoja, the Kogi State Police Command’s spokesperson, William Ovye Ayah, said the suspect had been arrested by the police.
He said the suspect would be arraigned in court for prosecution after the conclusion of the investigation into the case.
