Kidnappers have seized a student of the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, Enugu State, Stanley Ogwo.
The victim was said to have been abducted on Thursday in a commercial bus he boarded to school.
The victim, whose father is a popular radio presenter with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Godwin Ogwo, was reportedly kidnapped as he was going to school from his Emene residence.
Confirming his son abduction to newsmen, Ogwo, who explained that his son is in National Diploma student at the institute, said he had been contacted.
He said his son was abducted in a commercial bus he boarded to school and that the abductors have contacted him.
He, however, said the abductors were yet to make their demand.
He told newsmen that “they (the kidnappers) merely asked if we are ready to comply; I was confused and I switched off the phone. I have been speaking with them and they have said they wanted money but they are yet to mention the amount.”
