Gunmen have attacked a farm in Anchau village, Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting a foreign farmer, after killing a solider providing security for him.
The gunmen were said to have abducted the foreign farmer identified as Mr. Charles Choko, a Zimbabwean, and another farmer, Mr. Yusuf Aliyu Bello, an indigene of Kano State.
A member of a local vigilance group, who pleaded annoymity, on Sunday gave an account of the incident.
He said: “The bandits attacked a farm in Anchau village, Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 1:30pm on Wednesday. They killed a soldier working in the farm company.
“They also kidnapped one Mr. Charles Choko from Zimbabwe and one Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano State. But we heard that security operatives had been deployed to rescue the kidnapped victims.”
