A couple identified as Kelvin and Evi, few hours after their traditional marriage ceremony in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, have died in a ghastly motor accident.
The couple, who reportedly got married on Wednesday, June 21, and were going back to their base were said to have lost their lives tragically in the crash on Oleh road.
The groom’s friend, simply identified as Timi, who drove the car, was said to have also died in the crash.
A family source revealed that that Timi had just bought the car and volunteered to use it to convey his friend and his bride to the traditional marriage ceremony.
The source, who preferred anonymity, said: “They earlier escaped an accident while going for the traditional marriage. But when returning from the traditional marriage, they made a stop at the spot where they had the accident earlier and took pictures.
“The second accident happened less than three poles away from the first one. Armstrong had to take over from Timi, who drove the car when the first accident happened earlier.
“When they got to the spot of the first incident, they stopped and even took pictures of the place before they continued on the journey.
“Only for them to drive less than a three-pole distance and the vehicle somersaulted.”
