The Aseyin of Iseyin in Oyo State, Oba Abdulganiyu Salawudeen, has passed on.
The monarch died on Sunday at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan after a protracted illness at the age of 62.
Trained as a veterinary doctor from the University of Ibadan, Oba Salawudeen was installed as the Aseyin of Iseyin in 2007.
An informed source disclosed that the monarch’s remains had been prepared to be taken back to Iseyin after which traditional rites are expected to commence.
