Top on the list of the newly appointed Special Advisers and their portfolios are Mr. Dele Alake, the Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communications and Strategy; former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, the Special Adviser on Security and Mr. Wale Edun, the Special Adviser, Monetary Policies.
According to a statement by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye, others in the new appointment list are: Yau Darazo, the Special Adviser, Political and Intergovernmental Affairs; Olu Verheijen, the Special Adviser, Energy; Zachaeus Adedeji, the Special Adviser Revenue; John Uwajumogu, the Special Adviser, Industry, Trade and Investment; and Dr. Salma Anas, the Special Adviser, Health.

The letter, however, was silent on the names of the persons the President wanted to appoint as special advisers and their portfolios, when the former Senate President read it to members.
