Fresh facts have emerged how one of the two abducted wives of the Ogboni Agbaye, Oba Abdullahi Olakisan, regained freedom on Wednesday from her abductors.
Does2Leak Online reports that Olakisan had an accident on Monday on Ila-Imesi Ile Road and died alongside a police officer and a woman, who accompanied him to search for his abducted wives.
Olakisan’s wives were abducted by unknown gunmen on early Monday morning while he was in Osogbo, away from his Imesi Ile residence.
Olakisan’s relation, who is the Coordinator, Kiriji Heritage Defenders, Dr. Ademola Ekundayo, disclosed to newsmen how one of the two wives was found.
Ekundayo said the wife escaped from the kidnapper’s den in the early hours of Tuesday but disclosed that the whereabout of the second was not yet known.
He further disclosed that the lucky woman was found along Ikoro-Ekiti in Ekiti State after she had wandered in the forest throughout the night.
Speaking further, he also disclosed that the woman, was unaware of her husband’s death said he appeared to her in the forest, where she was tied to a tree and asked her to untie herself.
According to Ekundayo, before her husband’s appearance, the woman said her abductors had left her to go and rest.
Ekundayo said: “Her husband, according to her narration, appeared in the forest and instructed her to stand up and directed her path through the forest until she came to an express road.
“He told her to proceed to the road and seek help from passers-by and they will both meet at home. Some people later called us at Imesi- Ile to confirm whether she was indeed kidnapped, hence, we went there to bring her home.
“Unfortunately when she got home and discovered her husband was dead, she was devastated and fainted. Till now she was unable to tell us about the whereabouts of the second wife.”
He said search for the second victim had continued, adding that the security operatives and Kiriji Heritage Defenders’ Corps have also joined the search party.
