A suspected motorcycle thief simply identified as Loni, on Sunday morning was lynched by irate youths in Ilesa, Osun State.
The suspect on Saturday night allegedly snatched a motorcycle from an unidentified man around Ireti Ayo in Ilesa.
Unknown to the suspect, he was said to have been trailed to his abode abode by some some commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada riders, who claimed to know him and his past activities of stolen motorcycles.
He was reportedly carried out of his house and killed by the youths
The suspect was also said to have previous records of robbery cases with the police in Ilesa.
It was gathered that the officers at Police Division, Ayeso, Ilesa was aware of the development and that his corpse had been deposited at an hospital mortuary in Ilesa.
Meanwhile, police authorities in the state have not confirmed the report.
