Terrorists have kidnapped three pastors working with the Children Evangelism Ministry (CEM) in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The state coordinator of CEM, Evangelist Charles Esho, said the victims were on an assignment to Ejule community in Ofu Local Government Area of the state when they were kidnapped.
He said: “We are all worried over the safety of the abducted brothers as we don’t know where they (abductors) have taken them to because up till this moment there’s no word from them.
“As a ministry, we are passionately appealing to the security operatives to do something drastic to rescue the our pastors from their abductors.
Meanwhile, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the clerics, Evangelist Peter Adigidzi, Pastor Mike Baba and Pastor Sunday Abah, were abducted last Friday.
Egbuka, who spoke with newsmen in Lokoja, said: “ As soon as we were alerted about the unfortunate and worrisome incident we have taken drastic measures to track down the suspected abductors to rescue the clerics.
“The police tactical team had been deployed to strategic places to rescue the victims and to arrest of their abductors. Once they apprehended they would be made to face the law.”
