Five travellers on Sunday died in a lone motor accident on Ikaram-Akoko Road, in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Also, many other passengers sustained serious injuries.in the crash.
The accident happened when an 18-passenger commercial Toyota Hiace bus marked DKA 256 XY on top speed lost control and somersaulted several times after a tyre burst.
An eye witness account revealed that operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ikare-Akoko unit, police officers from the Oke-Agbe Akoko Division, and people living along the axis assisted in rescuing the victims.
The injured victims were immediately rushed to the emergency ward of the State Specialist Hospital, Ikare-Akoko, and the corpses dropped in the mortuary.
