Two persons escaped death as an 18-passenger commercial bus crashed into a wooden shop on Abuja-Lokoja Highway in Abaji.
The victims were said to be sitting in font of the shop, which is beside the Asio Petrol Station, when the bus suddenly had a tyre burst, lost control and crashed into the roadside shop.
According to an eye witness, the accident happened around 4:47pm on Sunday.
Apart from the two persons, three other persons, including the driver and two other passengers sitting in front of the bus were injured.
The injured were reportedly rushed to Abaji General Hospital for treatment.
The eye witness, simply identified as John, said: “We just saw a Toyota commuter bus with registration number KTG 07 XG losing control after one of its tyres bursted and crashed into the shop by the roadside.
“The five people, including the driver and two others sitting in front of the bus with him and another two persons in front of the shop, sustained injuries and were taken to Abaji General Hospital.”
