Teenage boy stabs mother to death in Kano
A teenage boy, Iro Kwarangwal, on Wednesday evening reportedly stabbed his mother, Jummai to death in Karshen Kwalta, Rimin Kebe quarters in Ungoggo Local Government Area of Kano State.
What led to the incident could not be immediately verified but the suspect was said to have fled the scene after using a kitchen knife to stab his mother to death.
A neighbour, who did not want his name mentioned, said: “I was standing outside my house around 5.30pm when I suddenly heard screaming from the deceased residence. When I rushed in I found the woman stabbed severally with a knife screaming for help.
“But I saw the boy running away from the scene shortly after committing the heinous crime against his mother. The woman was later rushed to the hospital in a tricycle with blood all over her body and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
“She had since yesterday been buried in accordance with Islamic rites. May Allah forgive her and admit her to paradise.”
Confirming the incident.to newsmen, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kano State, Abdullahi Haruna, said he had not been briefed but promised to give details on it later.
