Unknown persons have reportedly murdered a female student of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic in Eruwa, Oyo State.
The victim, identified as Dasola, was a National Diploma (ND) 2 Mass Communication student.
The student, whose lifeless body was found in her room with matchet cuts and her eyes plucked out, was said to be writing the ongoing first-semester examination in the school.
As of the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding her murder are still not known.
One of the deceased’s friends, said when they did not see her around to sit for the examination on Thursday, they went to her hostel around the Ile Idibo area, where they found her dead.
She said when they got to the hostel, they found her room door locked from outside, adding that they felt no one was inside the room.
She also said that her neighbours, who were her mates, discovered her death when they started perceiving a terrible odour after a few days.
According to her: “Her body was found lying lifeless when they peeped through her window and this made them to raise an alarm which attracted attention from those around.
“And when the incident was brought to the attention of the school management, they hurriedly suspended the ongoing examination for a day as a sign of respect for her soul.”
The police was said to have commenced investigation into the incident after evacuating the late student’s corpse and deposited it at the General Hospital, Eruwa, while police commenced an investigation to fish out her killers.
