Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that the Igbos are architects of their own problems in Nigeria’s political space.
The cleric, who spoke through a statement by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, in a Sunday message, said the Igbos should have produced next the Senate President if they had better leadership representation.
According to him, the South East has lost political credence in the country because of the division among their “greedy leaders” looking for positions.
He said: “Sincerely, the Igbo should be the next Senate president. The South East should ordinarily have produced the next president of Nigeria but they are their problems. They have marginalized themselves because of desperation for positions.
“Igbo leaders are mostly responsible for the sufferings of their people; they have shown greediness, desperation, and betrayal at the expense of their kinsmen.
‘’The Igbos have lost the political credence in the country and It will take a long time before they recover it. If they are not united, they will be behind in this government, they won’t get anything tangible.”
