Unknown gunmen have abducted the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Paul Omotosho.
Omotosho on Saturday evening was reportedly ambushed and abducted on Agbado-Imesi Road in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state.
The victim was said to be going to Imesi-Ekiti, his hometown, when the gunmen stopped his vehicle, seized him and whisked him away into the bush.
The state APC Publicity Secretarybin the state, Segun Dipe, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said: “Yes, our chairman has been kidnapped this evening, and we are already working with security agencies to secure his release.”
