A Delta State-based suspected internet fraudster otherwise known as ‘Yahoo boy’, Precious Ojo, has been picked up by the operatives of the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).
The 26-year old suspect was arrested at an hotel owned by him in Oghara, Delta State following a petition against Ojo on his fraudulent activities from a United States citizen.
In the petition to the Benin Zonal Command of EFCC, the suspect allegedly impersonated one Raymond Bush working in the US Treasury and defrauded her victim of $268,000.
After his arrest, Ojo confessed that he built the luxury hotel with alleged proceeds of the crime.
Recovered from the suspect was a Mercedes Benz car with personalised plate number and some mobile phones.
The suspect will be arraigned in court soon, according to the EFCC.
