Former senator from Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has emerged governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Melaye was declared winner of the state governorship primaries on Sunday by the returning officer of the exercise, after scoring 313 votes.
Dino was declared winner by the returning officer on Sunday.
His closet rival, Idoko Ilonah, scored 124 votes while Awoniyi Sunday scored 77 votes and Musa Wada 56 votes.
Melaye will face the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, Usman Ododo, in the governorship election holding on November 11.
