Armed men have attacked and abducted three oil workers in the Bakassi Peninsula on the Gulf of Guinea in Cross Rivers.
The victims were said to be on their way to work when the incident happened on Saturday morning.
After seizing the oil workers, the gunmen suspected to be members of the Biafra Nation League reportedly took away the boat conveying the victims with their equipment to an unknown destination.
A source disclosed that the victims were working for an oil firm in Atabong area in the Bakassi Peninsula.
Pleading anonymity, he said and the victims’ whereabouts remained unknown.
