A 54-year old Danish national, Peter Nielsen, who killed his Nigerian wife, Zainab, and 3-year old daughter, Petra, is to die by hanging.
A Lagos High Court presided over by Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile, on Friday convicted Nielsen and sentenced him to death after he had been charged for murder by the Lagos State Government.
The foreigner was arraigned in court on June 13, 2018, after he was accused of killing the wife and daughter around 3.45 am. at their No. 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
During his trial, he pleaded not guilty to the murder charge preferred against him by the Lagos State government.
