Gunmen have reportedly shot dead a Sapele-based photographer, Sunny White, dead in his wife’s shop in Delta State.
Investigation revealed that the gunmen, numbering about four drove an unmarked ash Toyota Corolla car on Friday into Otomewo Road by Oboscah Lane, where the shop of the late photographer is located and shot him dead.
Sunny was said to be relaxing inside the shop with some of his children when he was shot.
The deceased was described as humble and respectable by a resident of the street, where he was killed, wondering why anyone would want to kill him.
The resident, who preferred anonymity, said: “He was relaxing at the shop with kids while his wife was attending to customers. White is a very respectable young man and he did not deserve to die this way.
“With this act, it is obvious that security operatives need to step up their game in the area to stop the continuous assassination of young men. We still don’t know the reason White was killed.”
Confirming the incident, the spokesman for Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe, said the matter was not reported to the police, though acknowledged incessant cult clashes in the community.
