Gunmen have abducted a traditional ruler in Otuabula community, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Abducted with the traditional ruler, Otia Isomom, who is deputy to the Paramount Ruler of Otuabula, were a 50-year old woman, Mrs. Lucy Osain, and a middle aged man, Mr. Friday Abah.
An eye witness account revealed that about twenty armed men stormed the community around 1:00a.m. on Monday abducted the victims and led them into a waiting speedboat that took them away to an unknown destination.
The eye witness, who would not want his name in print, said he narrowly escaped after he had been stabbed by the gunmen.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Bayelsa State Police Command, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident, saying , then detectives are after the culprits to arrest them and rescue the victims.
