A fatal motor accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday claimed three lives while two others were critically injured.
Confirming the crash, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, said it happened around 6.45pm near Saapade in Ogere area.
In a statement, Okpe disclosed that five persons were involved in the crash – four male adults and one female adult.
Breaking down the casualty figure, she said there persons died and three others died in were seriously injured in the crash.
She said: “A speeding Toyota car, after losing control rammed into a moving Sino truck from the rear.
She added that the injured victims had been taken to Victory Hospital in Ogere, and the bodies of the deceased deposited at FOS Morgue, Ipara in Ogun State.
