An Osun Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo on Thursday ordered that three men be remanded in the correctional centre for unlawfully breaking into the secretariat of Egbedore Local Government in Awo.
The accused persons, Idowu Wasiu (24), Adekunle Adewale (25), Adewunmi Damilalola (30) and others now at large reportedly committed the offence on October 24, 2020 around 9:30 pm, according to the police prosecutor, Fatoba Temitope.
The prosecutor told the court that the accused persons did willfully and unlawfully break and entered into council secretariat.
He further told the court that the accused persons did unlawfully assembly themselves in manner to steal after damaging the gate, windows and doors of the secretariat
The prosecutor added that the offense is contrary to and punishable section 34,414,516,70 and 451 of Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun State
The defence counsel, Akinwumi Babatunde, applied for the bail for the accused persons in most liberal terms
The Magistrate, Adijat Oloyade, in her ruling, ordered that the accused persons be remanded in the correctional center at Ilesa.
She adjourned the case till November 26, 2020 for hearing.
