Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have arrested two men for allegedly giving medical services to bandits in Buruku, Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The Kaduna State Government through the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, in a statement on Monday, commended the police Command for the arrests.
The state government called for thorough investigations into the matter.
Also be speaking on state of security in the state, the commissioner disclosed bandits in one of the attacks on Rafin Roro village in Kajuru Local Government Area have killed one person.
He said: “Eleven expended rounds of AK-47 ammunition were found at the location. Security patrols are proceeding with investigations in the general area.
“Similarly, one citizen was killed by bandits at a settlement near Maraban Jos, Igabi Local Government Area.
“Bandits also killed one at the outskirts of Garu village, Igabi LGA, after rustling an unspecified number of cows belonging to two persons.
“The security personnel had engaged the bandits in again battle and one of them was found roaming about in the bush while others escaped with bullet wounds.
“Governor Nasir El-Rufai prayed for repose of souls of those that had been killed and also sent condolences to their families.”
