The operatives of the Kwara State Police Command have arrested a 24-year-old man, Kehinde John Moses, with fresh human parts.
The commercial bus in which the suspect and others were travelling was stopped on Ajase-Ipo Road by a police patrol team that subjected all passengers to a thorough check.
A fresh human head and hand were allegedly found in his bag during the police check.
Parading the suspect on Monday in Ilorin, the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bagega, disclosed that he was arrested by a team of ‘Operation Harmony’ in a commercial bus.
He said that while the police team was searching the bag, one man believed to be Moses’ friend took to his heels.
In the bag was a freshly severed head and hands of a boy, according to the police boss.
Bagega further disclosed that during interrogation, the suspect confessed that he and his fleeing friend killed the victim, identified as Mohammed in Ajase-Ipo for money ritual.
Meanwhile, the CP has directed the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to thoroughly investigate the case and arrest other culprits connected to the heinous crime.
He assured that the suspect and whoever involved in the killing would be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
