Osun schools to get millions of naira instructional items from SUBEB on Wednesday

The Osun State Universal Education Board (SUBEB) on Wednesday will distribute instructional items worth millions of naira to support pupils with special needs.

In a statement by the board’s Executive Secretary, Alhaji Adeoye Bakare, the items would be distributed among schools across the state.

According to him, the Executive Chairman of the Osun SUBEB, Hon. Isreael Ajibola Famurewa, and his team have concluded plans to distribute the items fairly among the selected schools.

He listed some of the items for distribution, part of which he said are for sporting activities, as Badminton net, shuttle cord, and racket, Tennis racket and net, Track suite, Trainer shoes, Table tennis board, Baton and Spike shoes.

He further disclosed that 400 units of school mattresses, 400 pillows, 800 bedsheets with pillow case will be among items for distribution.

He also said that text books to be distributed are as follows: 40,000 copies of English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Basic Science and ICT for pupils in primary 1, 2 & 3 classes.

Adeoye added that 8,000 copies of English Language, Mathematics and Social Norms for each of ECCDE Books 1, 2 & 3 and another 11,000 copies of various Library Resource textbooks will also be available for distribution.
