Osun police parades 7 for raping minors, physically challenged, landlord’s daughter

The Osun State Police Command on Saturday paraded seven suspects for allegedly assaulting minors sexually.

Some of the victims include physically challenged and family members of the suspects.

Addresing journalists on the breakthrough of his commamd between May and June before parading the suspects, the state Police Commissioner, Udie Adie,
disclosed that a 50-year old man, Adeleye Fayemiwo, who has two wives, was arrested for having unlawful carnal knowledge of his13 year old daughter in Ibokun on the 17th of June, 2020.

Adie also disclosed that another a 28-year old suspect, Oyerinde Oyeniyi, reportedly had an unlawful carnal knowledge of his landlord’s 11-year old daughter in Ile-Ife, on the 14th of June, 2020.

He further told the reporters that a teacher, Eronse Balat, sexually assaulted his physically challenged niece at his tutorial center in Ile-Ife on the 15th of June, 2020.

He said: “Also in Ile-Ife, on the 28th of May, 2020, one Isiaka Adeyounbo dragged a 16-year old girl into his house and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.

“In Ilesa, a 30 year-old man, Adeoye Makinde lured a 13-year old girl on the street in an attempt to have an unlawful carnal knowledge of her in Ilesa on the 16th of June, 2020.”

The police boss, who vowed that there will be no safe place for rapists in Osun State, advised parents and victims to reports rape cases promptly to the security agents.

Assuring them of justice, he said they should not be discouraged from pursuing their cases.
