A 50-year old community security guard, Adewumi Gbadamosi, and a prophet of Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ilesa, Osun State, Adetunji Olagunju, have been arrested by the police for allegedly being in possession of human parts.

The night guard and the prophet were paraded on Thursday at the Osun State Police Command’s headquarters in Osogbo.

Gbadamosi, who claimed to have retired as a driver into practicing herbal medicine he had inherited from his late father, told journalists that he shot a young man dead in Tara community in Ilesha, Osun State and sold his body part to a pastor for rituals.

Mr. Gbadamosi was once a driver but later took over his father’s work (herbalist). He was employed as a night security guard by Tara community in Ilesha.

According to him, he killed the young man “because he wanted to steal an engine in one of the houses in Tara community,” where he works as a night guard.

Speaking with reporters, he said: “I cut the dead body into pieces with a cutlass and threw everything into the nearby river. I gave the head to one Prophet Adetunji Olagunju of Cherubim and Seraphim Church.”
