IPOB sit-at-home orde: Armed men attack students taking WASCE in Imo

Armed men have attacked the Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkume in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State to disrupt the ongoing 2021 West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE).

The gunmen was said to have forced the students to stop the examination in order to enforce the sit-at-home order of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

An eye witness account revealed that the gunmen, wielding assault rifles to disperse the students participating in the examination in the school premises.

The bandits were said to be shooting to scare away the students and the invigilators of the examination and later reportedly lit a bonfire at the centre of the school.
