The Osun State governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The INEC presented the certificate to Adeleke, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, after scoring 403, 371 votes to defeat the incumbent governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, with 375, 027 votes at the Saturday, July 16, 2022 governorship election.
Speaking at the Osun State INEC headquarters in Osogbo, Adeleke dedicated his victory at the poll to the memory of his late elder brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke and the people of Osun State.
