Four persons have lost their lives and thirteen others injured in a motor accident on Ibadan-Oyo Expressway.
The accident happened on early Saturday morning when one of the tyres of a Toyota Hummer bus marked JJJ 841 XA bursted on top speed and somersaulted.
Confirming the accident to newsmen, the Atiba Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Bayode Olugbesan, said the auto crash was caused by over speeding and overloading.
According to him, twenty people were involved in the accident but only four were confirmed dead at the State Hospital, Oyo.
He said the corpses had been taken to the hospital’s morgue,. adding that those that sustained injuries in the crash are receiving treatment at the hospital.
He said: “All the victims are male and their destination is North, the cause of the crash was over speeding and overloading. The bus was supposed to carry 14 passenger but was loaded with 20 passengers.”
