Family of murdered OAU student, Timothy Oludare, wants Hilton Hotel MD, Raheem Adedoyin, be declared wanted

The family of late Timothy Oludare, an MBA student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, who died at Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Osun has asked the police to declare the hotel’s Managing Director, Mr. Raheem Adedoyin, already on the run, wanted.

Through their lawyer, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, the family, in a statement on Thursday, said the Police should declare Raheem, son of the hotel owner, Dr. Rahman Adedoyin’s son, for his role in the alleged murder of Oludare.

The family said: “It was curious the intriguing statement made by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, wherein Dr. Adedoyin’s son was identified as the one who dumped the corpse of the late Adegoke in the bush.

“Considering the circumstances of the murder of Oludare, the law enforcement agency ought to exert energy in arresting Adedoyin, who is allegedly at large.

“Now that the Police know so much, it is time to start asking more questions: Why has Raheem Adedoyin not been declared wanted and an intelligence team churned out to arrest him?

“Why would the hoteliers break into the Late Timothy Adegoke’s room on the first night when he actually paid for two nights at the hotel?

“Why have not the suspects been charged before a Court of Competent record as prescribed by the Constitution.

“The credibility of the Nigerian Police Force at such a crucial time like this depends in large measure on their handling of this present case.

“Anyone, including legal representatives who attempted to hastily justify the cause of death of late Oludare and exculpate the suspects, were liable to be prosecuted as accessories after the facts.

“As the event unfolds, the family is resolute on ensuring that justice is done. And anyone found wanting would face the wrath of the law within the limits permissible by the law.”
