The Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof.) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye, Oyedeji II, has felicitated with all Muslims in Iba on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
The monarch, in a congratulatory message, urged Muslims across the world to use the occasion to pray for an end to COVID-19 pandemic, ravaging the entire world.
He also stressed the need for Muslims to celebrate this year’s festival in accordance with the laid down rules by the government to avert further spread of the pandemic.
Oba Okunoye urged Muslims to demonstrate love, obedience and discipline which he said are parts of the lessons that Eid-el-Kabir teaches Muslims.
The monarch, who is a seasoned educationist, reminded the government to pay attention to the welfare of the masses as demonstrated by Prophet Mohammed.
He urged the people of Iba to show love to one another as demonstrated by the Holy Prophet during his life time.
The Eburu of Iba also charged wealthy individuals to always remember the less privileged in their midst as exemplified by the Prophet.
While calling on all sons and daughters of Iba to work for the development of the town, Oba Okunoye enjoined all indigenes of the town to cooperate with one another for the growth and progress of the town.
